You Are what You Preach

Three Foundations of a Powerful Church

I’ve heard this said by several and seen it in action. If you preach Faith, you build Faith. If you preach Repentance, you get Repentance. If you preach Unity, you get Unity.

Which way are you steering your ‘Congregation’? Are you steering them to faith, or unity, or repentance? There are stages that All Churches go through. And the Church full of Faith and Unity can ONLY get there by Repentance.

There are times when all three of these fundamental truths should be ‘Preached’ and Taught to your people. They are YOUR people. God has entrusted each of them too you for a time…and make no mistake, it’s a timeline. There are Sheep who will stay in your Pasteur for a while, there are others who will seek out different grass.

Sheep go where they are fed. If they are not being fed in your pasture, they will seek other pastures. Don’t blame the sheep when they move on but seek God’s face at what you could have done better…if anything. Some Sheep….are not able to be pastored…..unrepentant Sheep.

I’ve been in really good and really bad churches. Churches where the ‘Pastor was King’ and Churches where the ‘Pastor was the Pastor’.

Acts 2:46 and 47

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Looking at the last part of that Verse, 47, ‘And the Lord Added to the Church….daily….such as should be saved. Read it one word….at a time.

They don’t all just ‘wander in’. What are YOU doing with those who are sent to YOU.

But before I go on a ‘Sheep Trail’ let me go back. I was only bringing this up, that God directs people to Church…to your Church. What do you do with them, once they are there? That’s your business and between you and God.

Now ask yourself, what does GOD want me to do about them?

What kind of Church do you want?

Do you want a Small Church that’s easy to Pastor?

Do you want a Large Church so you have lots of Programs? Programs don’t save people…they may make you feel good but only God Saves People.

Do you want a Church that is Spiritual or one that has Knowledge or both?

Do you want a Hospital-Type Church where people come in, get fixed, then go back to their home Church?

There are many types of Churches out there. God is a God of Diversity and Creativity and there are many lost Sheep.

The Three Fundamental Blocks of any Church are Repentance, Faith, and Unity. If these are out of balance, you get a two legged chair.

REPENTANCE

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3

We are not Good in God’s eyes. And God commands us to Repent. Paul said ‘I Die Daily’ which means….his will was crucified to the mind of Christ. Only one sits upon the throne of your heart… Not my Will but thy will be done.

FAITH

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

You think going to Church will ‘Save you’. Read Again. Church is the Door..for judgement must begin at the house of God. FAITH is what pleases God. NOT YOUR Church Attendance.

And Pastor, are you building their Faith so they can Please God? Faith cometh by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God

UNITY

Psalm 133 - There are only 3 verses

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded -- the blessing, even life forevermore.

See the Command…..the Blessing. The Blessing is COMMANDED in a Unified Church…but don’t stop that there…..see how the Oil Flows. From the Head to the Shoulders down into the Church. It always starts with the Pastor and then the Ministry (Shoulders) onto the other parts of the Church.

So today….pray…that you get insight on what Kind of Church God wants YOU to have for your area.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I pray for the reader today. I pray your hand upon them, your Spirit breathes in them, your Anointing to rest upon them that they would know what is YOUR perfect Will for their Church. Let them bring the Hot Bread from the Ovens of Heaven and FEED your sheep.
